The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) is due to release quality standards for End of Life Care in December 2010. This one day conference chaired by Dr Teresa Tate Deputy National Clinical Director for End of Life Care Consultant in Palliative Medicine Barts and The London NHS Trust and Medical Advisor Marie Curie Cancer Care, will focus on improving the quality of End of Life Care including implementing the new GMC Guidance, good practice in decision making and the new NICE Quality Standard.
The conference features two extended sessions discussing holistic needs assessment, advanced care planning, delivering and measuring a good death in hospital and delivering a rapid discharge pathway from hospital to home. |
