This eleventh national conference will provide an in depth outline of developing, measuring and maintaining Nurse Competence. Chair Kim Manley Learning and Developing Manager Royal College of Nursing will welcome delegates by introducing career and competence frameworks for nursing. She will go on to discuss the importance of supporting the development of nurses and enabling them to gain recognition for their knowledge skills and competence.
Alison Strode Divisional Manager Workforce Modernisation Skills for Health will discuss the planned 'Skills passport' which is intended to record competences to aid career progression and movement between specialities and career paths.
